The following clinics offer either free, reduced cost, or sliding scale payment options. These clinics have no knowledge of this blog and have not directly provided us with their information. Much of this information was taken from the Dakota County website under family assistance. This blog does not endorse any one clinic and should be used for informational purposes only. Please confirm payment options with clinics before going.

No cost services include: family planning education, pregnancy testing, birth control options, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, HIV testing and counseling.  Services are offered in a culturally sensitive manner.  None of the services require undressing for a full exam.

Child Health Clinic – 952-891-7526 – Provides well exams for infants / children up to 21 years of age. Cost is on a sliding fee scale, available at several locations. Meets requirements for daycare, school and camp physicals.

Immunization Clinics – 952-891-7999 – Provides a range of immunizations for the family. Available at several locations, through either appointments or scheduled walk-in times. Walk-ins are not offered on a daily basis.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) – 952-891-7525 – Serves infants, children less than 5 years of age, and pregnant and nursing women who are at medical risk . Provides nutritious foods, nutritional information, and health, social and financial referrals when necessary. Available in several locations. Serves children birth through high school; primarily children residing in or attending school within the communities of the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District. The clinic is a walk-in clinic, and no appointment is necessary. Services provided are free. Services include immunizations, athletic physicals, health/education counseling; diagnosis and treatment of minor medical conditions; treatment and/or referral for mental health needs.

Provides care, including appropriate prescriptions, for common family illnesses provided by Certified Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. No appointment necessary. Covered by most insurers. Most services $44 and open 7 days a week. Non-insured persons must pay for services at the time of the visit. (MinuteClinic accepts Visa, Mastercard, check or cash card.)

The SAGE Program is a breast and cervical cancer screening program that provides free or low-cost mammograms and Pap tests to uninsured and underinsured women through a network of clinics. Age and income guidelines apply.

Clinics will be staffed with nurse practitioners and physician assistants who can give flu shots and treat common illnesses such as strep throat. Most services cost less than $50. Future plans are to accept all local insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.

TAMS clinics provides care for many health needs of young people ages 10 – 22. Offer physical exams, sports physicals, immunizations and illness and injury treatment. TAMS will bill your health insurance provider for services. No one will be refused service due to inability to pay.

This is a family clinic offering primary medical care for patients of all ages.  Information and fees are listed on the web site.  Most visits are $36.  A physician is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the number listed.  House calls are available.  Accepts patients with or without insurance.  Payment is due at the time of visit.

Wakota Life-Care Center

Provides free pregnancy testing, counseling, and support services for pregnant women. Provides low-cost immunizations, testing for sexually-transmitted infections, well-child care, school physicals, and other low-cost non-emergency health care services.

Hennepin County Immunizations Services Unit and Bloomington Public Health: These services are for children and adults without health insurance or with health insurance that does not cover immunizations.  You do not need to schedule an appointment.  Immunizations provided at clinics are: routine immunizations for children, recommended immunizations for adults (19+), travel vaccines, and seasonal flu shots.  The meningitis shot is NOT available at these clinics.

    There are also a number of clinics still not yet listed into web directories. It would be helpful for those clinics to get listed so they can get online presence and get more potential customers.
